Symposium on Exsanguinating Pelvic Injury
Presented at the combined OTA/AAST meeting
October 2000

The web page symposium is in the same format as that presented at the OTA/AAST meeting. The panel discussion is currently being transcribed and will be added to the case in due course. There is a significant amount of information on exsanguinating pelvic injury and various related management issues, which we hope will spark interest, debate, audit and research.
We encourage users to use this resource as a framework for presentation at their home institutions, to formulate management pathways according to the systems and resources available at individual hospitals. The gaps in the research knowledge are significant and obvious, and we would encourage further work in this complex area.
The HWB Foundation also maintains an archive of the symposium, with extra audiovisuals, pelvic case presenations and the transcript of the symposium discussion.
